Travels on Dirt

(OOC post)
Well, my weekend was fun! I did NOT get to go see the premier of the movie "Skeleton Key 2". But I did have a wonderful day with my beloved. He was a bit late picking me up (something about not sleeping well then sleeping in...) but he got to spend time with my two little monsters (ok, my two sweet, overly-active, cookie-loving kids) at Wal-Mart before leaving. Halloween isn't too far off and it seems my little Imp (my daughter) has no fear of the creepy costumes, toys, lights and other cool stuff that comes out at this time of year and is meant to SCARE said children, lol. My little Vampire Slayer (my son) has a fondness for pushing buttons and watching the toys go off. So, you can guess which section of the store my love and two kids were in! LOL!

(The pic above is what I entered in the state fair..one of two, actually, lol)

Anywhos, the trip down was really nice. I cat-napped a little since I had a slight headache caused by way too many pollinating weeds... We didn't stop and ask for directions this time, hehehehe, but we still ended up finding the fair grounds ok. We simply circled the area three times before finding the right gate, locked of course, and I called for better directions. Which we had passed to begin with. Yeah, Richmond, VA, is a rather confusing place to travel. Guess it's to be expected since that's where the politicians live. (For those who aren't up on Geography, Richmond, VA, is the captital of Virginia.) So, after dropping off the pictures, we left Richmond for home. Except for the little side-trip to the Japanese Steak House, which was just TOOO AWESOME!!!

We had a great, relaxing trip with no problems. He even showed me a few places he knew on that side of the city. (He went to college there...) Then, we went home where we spent time with the kids before he had to leave to go home to HIS son.

All in all, it was a great trip! Didn't get much done for Mernac, but oh well. Family and RW fun always comes first! Though, I did do a little poser-ing Sunday. I figured if I'm gonna be playing around with CafePress, I might as well do something I want; and if Mark is getting my mug with Ryna then I want something that'll remind ME of HIM!!!

Don't ask WHY a gunslinger, though....let's just say it fits him. ;-)

p.s. Isn't the gunslinger cute?!?!?!???? lol
