My Family

Well, many of you have asked "Why is Quont your father?" Well, I decided to finally explain it. Hopefully I won't confuse you all with this explanation which, to me, is the truth.

To begin with, you must understand my past. My parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cascadence, raised me for the first thirteen seasons of my life until they were murdered in the Cascadence Massacre. After leaving the horrible scene of blood and death, along with seeing my parents dead in the house I had loved and lived in, I discovered a home with Garrit al-Ahmead. It was there, with his wife and harem I learned of the Father Quont for it was He they prayed to. Though this was strange for a child who had grown for thirteen seasons following only the Mothers, it fitted my personality. I had always charmed people and used my youth and beauty to get what I wanted. It was only natural for a man whose business was not only assassinations but owning several brothels. Of course, since I was Garren, it was no true surprise.

So, I soon discovered the fun and delight in being a woman as I grew in Garrit's household. I learned the raq shaquis, erotic sensual dances much like Dirt's Eastern Dances. Whenever I danced, Garrit's coffers filled for the brothels entertained in the physical pleasures of all types. Garrit, however, made certain I remained untouched by men. I trained in Garren to become a cungle, a Nazri. I was taught by his wife and harem on how to use my beauty, wit, and charm to make a man do anything I wanted; how to attract anyone I desired. It marveled Garrit and his wife, as well as his entire harem, how quickly I excelled at all they had to teach me.

So, I became an assassin using my beauty and feminine wiles to lure the men away to a secluded place where I then killed them. Never did I take a contract for a woman. It didn't seem right to me. I eventually left Garren and made my way to Traddlebow. That is another long story in itself!

It was there, during the Sap Wars, I was killed saving Arumbus Talimar. The Mother Terees asked me to join her elite group of warriors, the Shadow Guard. I recieved a Gift from Father Quont for each Shadow Guard recieves something that will enhance what they already knew. My Gift was Complete Attraction, for that was something I had already been using my entire life.

I have always had a mother and father for my entire life, except for those long years after I left Garren. Now, I once again have my Mother and my Father. Father Quont is one of the least evil gods. Mother Terees, well, she is a goddess, pure and good. I am loyal to her, but I cannot forget or deny the Father whose gifts helped me live after the massacre of Cascadence.

If it were not for what I learned, lessons taught by Quont to his loyal followers; lessons and skills he loves and thrives upon, I would not be where I am now. I do not know where I would be and that is not something I ponder upon.

It is enough to know that I have a Father who approves of what I do and a Mother who approves as well. Even if she doesn't approve of the places I go bar hopping! She cannot deny her child the life she lived and the talents have have helped get her Shadow Guard out of many problems. And my Father, well, I have helped his Garden grow by provoking lust and even giving him some seed from a lover on occassion.

So, there you have it! The reasons why I call Quont "Father". Perhaps eventually his succubi will finally stop trying to tear me to pieces....perhaps. But until then, I will follow my Mother and think of my Father; cavorting with Him and His as often as possible....
