Novel Complete at over 100,000 words!!!!

Well, we have completed the novel, proofed it for the typical errors and type-o's and edited to the point of no-return. The current title is "Death's Heiress" and, with luck (ok, a LOT of luck) we will manage to get this one published. Once the summaries, query letters, and packages are put together, we'll start mailing them out. Wish us luck! And, yes, I will keep everyone updated whether you want it or not! ;-)

Here's a working preview of the novel. Written at work while bored (a very BAD combination), it will be rewritten and edited to perfection. For now, enjoy the brief overview! (comments on whether or not this is catchy would be greatly appreciated, btw!)

Alixandra Dredborne is not your typical thirteen year old.

The daughter to Alyssiana and Xolyn Dredborne, lives in her parents' shadows. Her mother is a legend in her own right under the alias of Raven Silverstorm. Aly is a princess, ranger, and former assassin known for her defeat of a vicious red dragon. Her father a renowned mercenary who hired out to many and has, in his past, defeated many a warlord. Her great-grandfather is a powerful docelfar High Lord known throughout the docelfar community for his cold-hearted, vicious nature and his tendency to kill any who anger him; especially his servants and hirelings.

Xandra's only freedom and escape comes from a most unexpected place: the Assassin's Guild in the Eighth District of Fellhaven in the lands of Deltheya where she studies in the hopes of following in her parents' footsteps.

Pleasure comes not just from the classes but from a certain boy whom she has grown fond of. With that comes the problems with most suitors, except few have to deal with a tyrnical great-grandfather who prefers demonstrations to a simple "no".

Evil soon rears it's ugly head and Xandra quickly finds her parents in the midst of a take-over: Someone is assassinating the Royal Family and Xandra decides her knowledge of necromancy may be the salvation of her family.

However, things do not always go as planned and the heiress to death soon finds herself in over her head and, if she isn't careful, she may soon discover how sharp Death's blade really is.

Oh and all the best with finding a good publisher ... that's even harder work than finishing a novel!
